The book presents  the emerging field of neuro-psychoanalysis, which seeks bridge the two fields which for a long time developed entirely separately. The recent neurologic interest in the dream and the unconscious and neurological findings on both indicators of trauma and modifications of the brain through psychoanalytic therapy in the individual brain have forced the discussion on correspondences and differences from both sides. This dialogue is enriched here through a culturally enriched history of science.
